The story will take place 2,000 years after the monk Tang Sanzang brought the Tripitaka from the Indian subcontinent to humans. The world has developed with technology, but there are still demons invading humans. Gods and angels must therefore have the duty to suppress these demons, led by Sun Wukong and the angel Zi Lan.
